Precision machining — MC-01 to MC-03

Machining

Turning, milling and grinding to tight tolerances — the machining side of AxisWorks.

Why we're fussy

Machined by someone who measures for a living

AxisWorks' owner has worked in CNC and precision machining since 2017, on highly skilled projects held to tolerances fit for nuclear standards. That's the discipline your part gets — whether it's a one-off pin turned while you wait or a small production batch.

Bring a drawing, a sample or the worn part itself. We'll machine to spec, check it, and hand it back with the dimensions it left the drawing with.

MC-01

CNC & manual turning

Shafts, pins, bushes, spacers, threads and press-fit components — turned in steel, stainless, aluminium, brass or plastics, as one-offs or small batches.

  • One-offs and small production runs
  • Repairs and replacement parts machined from samples
  • Threading, boring, knurling and parting
  • Steel, stainless, aluminium, brass and engineering plastics

Milling

Plates, blocks, brackets, keyways and machined faces — CNC and manual milling for the parts that have to sit flat, square and true.

  • Slots, pockets, keyways and drilled patterns
  • Machined mounting faces and bases
  • Modification of existing parts and castings
  • Fixtures and jigs for repeat work

Grinding & finishing

When "close" isn't close enough: ground finishes for hardened parts, sealing faces and precision fits.

  • Surface grinding of plates and faces
  • Fits and finishes to drawing tolerance
  • Hardened and pre-toughened materials
  • Inspection before anything leaves the bench
